Just about anything having to do with Yosemite is stunning. This qualifies. Good time lapse photography is harder than it looks, making this effort all the more admirable. Best viewed full screen.

Today we have the photography of a two month old baby girl. This particular girl was unusually strong she held herself up quite well. Used a broad natural light source to help minimize contrast for a softer look that goes well with babies.
This black and white photo captures the urban feel that the senior wanted to portray. We used a flash at the end of the tunnel to create an artistic effect. The seriousness of this young man helps give the photo an intense feel, which guys want!
I'm loving all the photo posts people are doing, showing the best of 2011 around the world. So many perspectives and great photography. You people rock.2012 is already here for some of you. This video made my day. I know we have many mountain bike trail enthusiasts here in the Northstate, and terrific trails. But few humans are as electrified about a single track workout as this little dog Lily. This may not be Redding, but I think locals will really enjoy this short video if you haven’t seen it. Come
"Boredom" is not a word that artist Diane Gilstrap recognizes. She is busier now than she was when she was teaching - a career that took her from Alaska to Lakeview, Oregon, England and finally to Redding. She recently retired from the Redding School District after 37 years of teaching. Her current passions are photography,
This lovely short video reminds me of my backpacker days. And will probably do the same for you if you’ve ever chugged up into the high granite country yourself. It also reminds me how much work it is to do good time lapse photography. Thanks for this, and a tip of the blogger hat to Tom Stienstra for bringing it t

Much discussion and conjecture have been generated among wildlife photographers regarding use of the term "pursue" in this definition and how it may apply to them. Some photography and wildlif

My second foray into pinup and Burlesque photography. I'm not entirely happy with the results, but I'm trying. The rest of the set is on Tumblr.

God, do I love England. Always have. Love the different accents, the exceedingly dry sense of humor, the history so ancient and diverse that it's hard for an American to abosrb. I love the place names: the Vale of Evesham, Stow-on-the-Wold, Tunbridge Wells, Chertsey, Bexleyheath, Virginia Water; tube stations with names lik
As incongruous as it may seem, Southern California beach girl and University of California at Berkeley graduate Sue Rosoff made her name in photography documenting the sport and culture of professional rodeo. What started as a master’s thesis turned into a collaboration with Growney Brothers Rodeo Company that named, prom
Gorgeous video of the Aurora Borealis from Norway. Well worth your 2 minutes if you haven’t seen it. Having done some minimal time lapse photography myself, it becomes even more impressive. I love babies, I love their silliness, I love their crying, I love their snuggliness (is that even a word?). With babies, no 2 photography sessions are ever alike. We just go with the flow, play games, change the scenery, sing songs, we just keep things moving until the babies are done and they usually let us know when time

Photographer Danny Smith came to Fall River Mills from Oregon in 2002 to take a job as a laser alignment technician at two local sawmills. If artist Anastasia Nelson had to choose only one medium, it would be painting. Painting can be more emotional than a photograph and there is more room for artistic license, she says. But she also is an award-winning photographer, “painting with light.” Photography freezes time for an eternity and helps us see our histo
