Going by what I've read, it seems the judge in the Christy Lochrie blogging case left no uncertainties as to who he felt was responsible for the dispute, using words like "rude and boorish," "Mrs. Norby should not be proud...
A battle between two bloggers that raised serious First Amendment issues met its end today in Shasta County Superior Court.
Shasta County Court Commissioner Gary Gibson rejected a restraining order sought by blogger and reporter Christie Lochrie against a former friend, Beth Norby.
Once upon a time a reporter-blogger blogged trash about an ex-friend. So the ex-friend created an anonymous blog and blogged trash back. The reporter-blogger said the ex-friend-blogger's trash was trashier than her trash -- vewy scarewy!-- and asked the court for a temporary restraining order against the new trash.
In the end, the First Amendment prevailed in the case between Phat & Pink and No Phat & Pink Chicks blog authors, Record Searchlight reporter Christy Lochrie and personal blogger Beth Doolittle-Norby, respectively.
